Inside Dreamweaver 4 |
Inside Dreamweaver 4 is a tutorial reference that combines knowledgeable explanation with insightful learning activities to engage readers. The end result is a more in-depth knowledge of the software and how it can provide solutions for the user in the work environment. Inside Dreamweaver 4 assumes that readers have a basic understanding of the software and are looking for solutions to the problems they have incurred. As a result, this book will not dwell on information that is readily available in the software documentation. A brief section introduces Dreamweaver and HTML. After that, the authors present the new features of Dreamweaver 4 and discuss customizing the software before delving into such topics as: HTML Creation Fundamentals, Advanced Document Structuring, Site Management, Rich Media Usage, and Extensibility.

| Very Good Book | Rating: | | All the chapters in the book are great and cover almost everything except for chapter 12 it really disappointed me becuase the CSS chapter was very important topic to concentrate on and to do lots of excercises with it. but unfortunatly it wasn't very clear for a biginer, I had to consult other books to understand it. The book overall is an excelent tool to learn this amazing program !! Don't Hesitate to buy it. | | Total Votes: 1, Helpful Votes: 1, Date: 2002-04-16 | | | | Great Dreamweaver Reference | Rating: | | I was looking for a book that I could just pick up and find answers to my problems as I went along, and this book delivered. Although this book could very well be read cover to cover (as it is very informative and educational,) I appreciated that each chapter also can be read individually. So I could read only the sections I was interested in and get on to my work. The book is well organized and has clear explainations. It also does not overload you with a lot of useless excersises. Highly recommend! | | Total Votes: 2, Helpful Votes: 2, Date: 2002-03-23 | | | | Yow from Ft Lauderdale | Rating: | With phrases like "...is a good for people that like to read dictionaries or encilopeidis" obviously you don't mean yourself. What did you mean with the following sentence in your review: "i think they work Anne and John or what." Child, you must focus when you construct your thoughts on paper or typing.Even if English is not your first language, phrases like "im boring" do not mean at all "I am bored." | | Total Votes: 8, Helpful Votes: 1, Date: 2002-03-19 | | | | well well, i'm impressed again as usual with new riders | Rating: | this is a great intermediate-advanced level book(which means you should begin your DW/web design studies elsewhere(DW Virtual Classroom HIGHLY recommended). Don't try to study too much at once, you'll actually slow yourself down. Start from the bottom. One thing at a time.ok, the fact of the matter is there are tons of books that try to instruct on usage of Dreamweaver... and yes, most of them cover DW respective to its experience level(i.e.: beginner, intermediate...), BUT keep in mind that it's not whether it covers the material or not, it's how the material is presented. Many books have random comments and are not organized. The result? Unnecessary slow learning, repetition of reading, and confusion. I can say this b/c I've read many web design relevant books. And as for INSIDE DREAMWEAVER 4, it's none of the above; it's close to perfect, pleasure to read, and by far better than Dreamweaver 4 BIBLE(the bible doesn't even come close to touching the calibre of this book). I won't go any further criticizing, but do see for yourself by comparing both of these books. Inside Dreamweaver 4 is just simply the smarter tutorial reference. I'm a very demanding critic(see my other reviews and see for yourself), yet I gave this book 5 stars. It's really that good. Once you find yourself midway on the DW ladder, go thru this book, you won't regret it. | | Total Votes: 13, Helpful Votes: 11, Date: 2002-02-24 | | | | It just a bad book! | Rating: | | First i bougth this book because i found a good rating at this site!!. I dont know why these people put that raiting, i think they work Anne and John or what. The book it is hard to read, and boring. I has lot of text, lots lots lots of text in a boring fashion. The cd is not a big help and the exersises are no well constructed. My advide do not buy this book it much better lyndas books "Dreamveaver 4 Hot hands on trainig" they did an exellent job. You read that book and you feel like someoen its with you teaching, and the cd has cool videos that seems that a person is talking to you and teach you what or not to do! I really recomend that book for beginners to intermidiate. Inside is a good for people that like to read dictionaries or encilopeidis the Hot it for people that like to be teached with a person, in this case the book and the cd is a virtual teacher. Now im in the chaper 11 of inside im boring, I prefer hot because the videos and easy to read. I hope you find this a good review, if you want to buy do it, but first go to a libray a take both book and see the diffences. | | Total Votes: 31, Helpful Votes: 4, Date: 2001-11-26 | | | | Very Good Book | Rating: | | All the chapters in the book are great and cover almost everything except for chapter 12 it really disappointed me becuase the CSS chapter was very important topic to concentrate on and to do lots of excercises with it. but unfortunatly it wasn't very clear for a biginer, I had to consult other books to understand it.
