I uninstalled this because I got tired of waiting for everything.Rating:
I have this (CA Anti-Virus 2007) on an XP-Pro Pentium 4, 2.4 GHz w/ 1 GB RAM machine.

I got tired of the long delays for apps and the internet to launch. It was really annoying and very noticeable. I am sorry I purchased this item, and will check reviews on such things more carefully in the future.

When I uninstalled this pig, everything ran fast again.

CA Will Spam You to Death!Rating:
I bought CA Antivirus 2007 because of CA's good reputation and because the program doesn't hog resources. I've used it for almost a year now and have barely noticed its presence ... until 3-4 weeks ago. Now every time I start my computer, and even at random times, I get pop-ups saying that my antivirus program expires TODAY. I also receive e-mails at least once a day from CA saying the same thing. My subscription, however, doesn't end for another 2 weeks. When I contacted CA about the problem, they made no apologies and helped me by telling me to ignore the pop-ups and e-mails. Thanks. I won't buy CA products again.

Love, love, LOVE this product!Rating:
I'm not ashamed to admit I picked CA Antivirus up the first time (about 2 years ago) because it was roughly half the price of Norton and McAfee. Am sure glad I did. It runs silently in the background and every day a little pop-up box appears to indicate CA has updated itself. In the past, I had trouble with Norton Live Update functioning without having to nudge it from time-to-time. CA has been, thus far, no muss, no fuss--as is the renewal process. I will put CA on all of my computers now. Thanks, guys!!

Works Great in XP, Not so great in VistaRating:
I purchased the CA EZ Trust antivirus software because McAfee's antivirus software suite brought my XP operating system to its knees. It barely ran. Prior to McAfee bundling antivirus software with other software the operating system had no performance issues. I then downloaded a trial version of EZ Trust by CA and used it for a year. I was more than satisfied. I renewed my license for 2 additional years. Last year I purchased a new Dual Core Dell system running Premium Vista. After I loaded CA's antivirus software my system began to halt at times and it would not resume any activity for periods of up to 10 seconds. I at first thought it was Vista and swore at my new computer. But then I put the antivirus software to 'sleep' mode for 60 minutes and no problem with performance or the system halting.

I contacted CA and the only thing they offered was a partial refund of less than $5 on my unused renewal that is good until summer of 2009. I uninstalled the software for now and the system runs great. Vista loads much faster at startup.

One main problem with CA's web site is they have no customer solutions for problems. No help. And trying to reach someone is almost impossible. Techinal support is only on a fee basis. If the problem isn't in your computer they will refund the $20 for the call. But since they post no bulletin board of known problems, I'm sure most of the calls will be handled as a user problem.

I have worked for several decades as a computer professional on a variety of computers and operating systems. I'm sorry to say that this company lacks a decent customer service department and resources for helping customers with problems of their software.
